About the winery
Benito Santos was a man with a dream: while working his grandparents' vineyards he imagined how one day the noble Albariño grape would be recognised throughout the world. After years of dedication he founded his own winery in 1979 in the charming fishing town of Vilanova de Arousa. There he made wines of exquisite quality while fighting for the official recognition of this variety, being one of the first invited to present his wines at the Albariño Festival in Cambados, where he won awards several times.
