About the winery

Laureatus is a young winery in San Martiño de Meis, in the heart of the Val do Salnés and within the D.O. Rías Baixas. They are growers as well as winemakers, so they tend their own vines, some nearly 50 years old, following a vine-to-glass approach. The vineyards face south-southwest and are trained on high pergolas, with the bunches almost two metres off the ground so the air can circulate. They make only Albariño, in three wines, Laureatus, Laureatus Lías and Laureatus Dolium, as well as a few liqueurs. The visit takes in the vineyard and the winemaking stages in the cellar, and ends with a tasting of the three wines paired with local produce, with views over the Salnés valley. They also host events.
