Adega Pedralonga

◍ Pontevedra

About the winery

Adega Pedralonga is a family winery in the Val do Umia, with its vineyards at the foot of Mount Xiabre, within the D.O. Rías Baixas. The Alfonso family has made wine here for generations, and the current winery was founded in 1997 without changing that way of working. The pergola-trained vines, on granite soils, are harvested by hand and grown without pesticides or mineral fertilisers, following biodynamic practices that take the phases of the moon into account; the wines are made without chemical corrections and are unfiltered. Its Albariños include Pedralonga, Pedralonga Terra de Godos and Pedralonga Barrica; other whites are Marel, Vendetta and Carolina, made from Caíño, and the reds are DoUmia and DoUmia Barrica.
