Adegas Castrobrey

◍ Pontevedra

About the winery

Adegas CastroBrey is in Vila de Cruces, in the Ulla valley, and presents itself as the most inland winery in the D.O. Rías Baixas, where the landscape leaves the sea behind and turns towards the mountains, among mist, woodland and water. Its philosophy is to intervene as little as possible and leave the vineyard as good as or better than they found it, with biodiversity as part of the work. Its oldest Albariño vines sink their roots into soils of clay, iron, quartz and schist. They give the SinPalabras collection, which explores different winemaking and ageing methods such as barrel, amphora, demijohn, concrete or free-run must, and a series of single-plot wines such as SinPalabras P242, V186, El Molino, Casa Morao and F1982. The Bocabajo spirits and liqueurs complete the range.
