About the winery
Adegas Gran Vinum is the Piñeiro Cores family winery in Vilanova de Arousa, in the Val do Salnés and within the D.O. Rías Baixas. The family has grown vines in the area for generations and in 2002 took the step of founding its own winery. Today winemaker Enrique Piñeiro grows, harvests and makes the wine with his team, and his daughter Andrea is already involved in the project. As well as their own vineyards, they work with small local growers, on slopes and riverbanks influenced by the Arousa estuary. They make the Albariños Gran Vinum, Esencia Diviña, Mar de Viñas and Nessa, a Gran Vinum Brut Nature sparkling wine and a Caíño red. By appointment, they offer winery visits with a vineyard walk and tasting, as well as tailor-made visits.
