About the winery
The Axpe symbol has three parts. One is stone, representing a rock, which is the Atxondoa neighbourhood (meaning “next to the rock”); the rock has a crack that symbolises the Axpe farmhouse. Another element of the sculpture is a piece of stainless steel symbolising the ploughshare that cuts and opens the way towards new technologies. And finally, it has a wooden half-moon symbolising the round shape of the fruit, apple and grape, which are the origin of Axpe's products: cider and txakoli.
