About the winery
The new Bizkai Barne winery arose as a project integrating 4 different small vineyard holdings in inland Bizkaia. Together they group 14 hectares of vineyards in Orozko, Arrankudiaga and Balmaseda, all on slopes with ideal agronomic conditions for quality viticulture, that is, slopes between 200 and 300 m of altitude, soils of medium fertility and subsoil with “cayuela” marl and sandstone. The winery, next to its vineyards in Orozko, is designed for careful batch-by-batch vinification according to the different vineyards and varieties.
