Butroi Upategia is a family txakoli winery in the Igartua district of Gatika, within the Bizkaiko Txakolina D.O. Its vineyards are spread across Gatika, Zamudio, Lezama and Larrabetzu, where they mainly grow Hondarrabi Zuri, Petit Courbu and Mune Mahatsa, the varieties they use to make their txakoli. The winery shows its commitment to the environment by relying on renewable energy. Its facilities include a bottling line, a shop, a tasting area and a space for talks. They organise arranged visits for groups of at least twelve people, with content tailored to what each group requests.
