About the winery
Casa da Barca is a small family winery in the parish of Vilariño, in Cambados, in the Salnés valley and within the Rías Baixas D.O., to which it has belonged since 1989. The Amil Núñez family makes wine in a traditional Galician farmhouse that they have lovingly preserved, combining the time-honoured way of working with the necessary technology. Their vineyards, almost all in Cambados, grow in shallow sandy soils near the river Umia and yield between 25,000 and 30,000 bottles a year of young single-varietal Albariño, sold under the Casa da Barca and Quintela da Barca brands. They open all year round for visits and tastings in which they show the process from grape to bottling.
