Bodega Gil Armada is based at the Pazo de Fefiñáns in Cambados, in the heart of the Salnés valley and within the D.O. Rías Baixas. It was founded by Joaquín Gil Armada in 1959 and is heir to one of the oldest vineyards in the area, the source of the first bottled Albariños in the early 20th century. It works two vineyards: the historic Fefiñáns plot inside the walled grounds of the manor, and San Fardán, a few kilometres away, where native red varieties are being recovered alongside Albariño. They give Gil Armada Fefiñáns and Gil Armada San Fardán. It also has a craft distillery with copper stills for orujos and liqueurs. Visits take in the manor house, listed as a Bien de Interés Cultural, and the vineyards, with an Albariño tasting.
