About the winery
Since 1838 it has stood at the mouth of the river Guadalete, on the Bay of Cádiz. The dry Levante winds and the humid Poniente winds from the Atlantic regulate the ambient humidity, maintaining optimum conditions for the wines. The consistency and quality of Gutiérrez-Colosía wines are guaranteed by careful ageing using the criaderas and soleras system, following the finest tradition of the area. The structure of the bodegas is known locally as a «cathedral hall».
