Huerta de Albalá

◍ Cádiz

About the winery

Huerta de Albalá is a winery in the province of Cádiz, set among gentle slopes with the Sierra de Grazalema in the background, within the Cádiz vino de la tierra. It was born some 25 years ago as the dream of Vicente Taberner and his family, who fell in love with the south of Andalusia. It champions Tintilla de Rota, the native grape, alongside Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, which dominate its vineyard. It makes reds, whites and rosés, which rest in a cellar holding more than 450 French and American oak barrels, and its winemaker is Santiago Jordi. The horse in its logo is a nod to the Andalusian equestrian tradition. It offers visits that tour the vineyards and the winemaking rooms and end with a tasting, with food pairing options.
