About the winery
Bodega Juan Dios is a family business with a century of winemaking tradition, located on Calle El Natero in La Cruz Santa, in the municipality of Los Realejos (Tenerife). It is registered with the D.O. Valle de La Orotava and makes its wines only from vines trained in the braided cordon (cordón trenzado), the traditional system of the growers of Los Realejos and the valley. Its range includes dry and fruity whites, rosés, traditional and barrel-aged reds, and a more recently added sparkling rosé. It sells its wines under the Despunte, Bencheque and Tismin brands; under Bencheque it also makes a Tintilla red and the sparkling wine, and Tismin is a fruity white made from red grapes.
