About the winery
The Pazo As Barreiras winery is located in the upper part of Salvaterra de Miño and is integrated into the manor house (pazo) that gives it its name. The pazo was built in the early 17th century by the noble Sarmiento de Valladares family, who ran it for several generations as military governors of the town of Salvaterra de Miño. Despite its commercial use, the pazo still keeps its original structure.
