About the winery
Adega Pombal a Lanzada is in Noalla, Sanxenxo, with vineyards in Albariño country facing A Lanzada beach, within the D.O. Rías Baixas. The winery grew out of the area's mussel-farming tradition and for years made wine only for the family, until it released its first vintage in 2010. In 2012 it began working with winemakers Dominique Roujou and Laura Montero and launched Arcan and As Bateas in very small batches, and in 2014 it converted all its plots to organic farming and added Mytilus Albariño and Mytilus Tinto. The range is completed by the sparkling Burbullas das Bateas, made from grapes from three nearby plots. The names of its wines recall the mussel rafts and mussels of the ría.
