About the winery
Adega San Salvador de Soutomaior is the winery behind Noelia Bebelia, the project of Simón and Noelia, husband and wife and business partners, in Soutomaior, within the D.O. Rías Baixas. They set out to make an Albariño that would restore the reputation this subzone's wines have always had, and to do so they planted 9,000 vines on a three-hectare plot on the slopes of the River Verdugo, the Candán vineyard. Everything they make comes from that single plot and they handle it themselves from start to finish. Their Albariño is made by direct pressing to show the variety as it is; Soberbioso ferments in used 500-litre barrels; Rosa e Riso is a rosé from Brancellao, Caíño and Sousón, and Preguiceiro, from the same grapes, is a late harvest. They offer private vineyard tours with a tasting on request.
