Bodega Secadero
About the winery
Bodega Secadero is a small family winery on the San Benito estate in Los Realejos, in the north of Tenerife, registered with the D.O. Valle de La Orotava. It makes its wines in the traditional way, seeking to preserve the natural character of the grapes, and has a capacity of around 10,000 litres. The harvest usually takes place in the second half of September. Its wines are sold under the Cuprum brand, which includes a dry white, a fruity white, a traditional red and a barrel-aged red. For the reds it uses Listán Negro, Castellana and Negramoll, and for the whites Listán Blanco and Malvasía, varieties typical of the Orotava Valley, one of the wine areas with the longest history in the Canary Islands.
