Bodega Tesalia
About the winery
Bodega Tesalia is in Arcos de la Frontera, in the Cádiz highlands, and was born from one family's dream of making wine in this land. The estate combines vineyard, horse breeding and other crops, with vines on gentle north-facing slopes over clay and a chalky subsoil, in a warm climate with Mediterranean and Atlantic influences. Its main grapes are Petit Verdot and the local native Tintilla de Rota, alongside Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. Harvesting by hand at night, it vinifies each of its twelve plots separately, moves the grapes by gravity and ages the wines in French oak, in labels such as Tesalia, ARX, Iceni, Neso and Mito. By appointment it offers several experiences, with a vineyard walk, a winery tour and a final tasting on a terrace.
