Vera de Estenas is a modernist winery founded in 1876 between Utiel and Requena, in the D.O. Utiel-Requena area, and since 2013 it has also held its own Vino de Pago designation. The Martínez Bermell family is now in its third generation: it was Francisco Martínez Bermell who, in the mid-1980s, released their first bottled wines. Everything is made on the estate, with stony limestone soils and traditional viticulture, and their wines include Casa Don Ángel Bobal, Martínez Bermell Merlot, Viña Lidón Chardonnay, El Rosado de Estenas and Cava Estenas Brut Nature. The guided visit takes in the vineyard, the barrel room, the family museum and the 19th-century tanks, with a tasting of four wines with cheese and cured meats. There is also a hotel.
