About the winery
Vinea Clausa is an artisan winery in Fuenterrobles, in the D.O. Utiel-Requena, housed in the family home dating from the late 19th century. The family has grown vines in the village for more than 300 years, and the name refers to the old vineyards enclosed by stone walls. Its vineyards lie at around 900 metres in the Las Lomas area, on cool limestone soils, and are farmed organically using traditional methods. The star is Bobal, used for the Vinea Clausa red, its Madurado version and the Periñán de Bobal rosé, alongside Garnacha for the Juliana red and the Periñana de Garnacha rosé. They offer vineyard and winery visits with a tasting of two wines and local products, which can be combined with historic sites in the area or with a meal.
