About the winery
Cayetano del Pino y Cía. is a winery in the San Miguel quarter, in the centre of Jerez de la Frontera, within the Jerez-Xérès-Sherry D.O. It was founded in 1886 by Cayetano del Pino Vázquez, from La Carlota, as an export house; after his son's death in 1935 it became an almacenista, and it was the fourth generation that returned to bottling this century. Since 1983 it has been on Plaza de Silos, in a small 19th-century winery building. It focuses on amontillados and palo cortados in the Solera, Superior, VOS and VORS categories, as well as fino and cream. It runs visits to the winery museum with tastings at several levels, from two wines up to its VORS.
