Bodegas Faelo

◍ Alicante

About the winery

Bodegas Faelo is a family business with a winegrowing tradition of more than 100 years. This is the fourth generation of artisanal winegrowers from Matola, a district of Elche in the south of the D.O.P. Alicante, Spain (an area with a great winemaking tradition). These are the wines of the Camp d'Elx. Until 2000 the wines were never bottled at the family winery; they were sold in bulk. But Jaime Soto, owner of Bodegas Faelo, together with his father, decided to combine tradition and technological advances in making their wines, and that is where the winery's philosophy began.
