About the winery

Bodega de Forlong is an organic, artisan winery in El Puerto de Santa María that began in 2007 with the purchase of the El olivar de Forlón estate, named after a former British owner, Peter Furlong. There they brought back vineyards, olive groves and fruit trees that had been lost over the years. They farm some 13 hectares organically across the Balbaína Baja and Grañina vineyard areas, on albariza soils about ten kilometres from the sea, growing Palomino Fino, Moscatel and red grapes such as the native Tintilla de Rota. Their wines include Forlong Rosado, Forlong Tintilla and Forlong La Fleur. The guided visit covers the winery's history, the vineyard, the production area and the ageing room, ending with a tasting of three wines; it is offered in Spanish, English and French.
