About the winery
Bodegas Gómez Sanmartín is a grower's winery in Macendo, in Castrelo de Miño, on the left bank of the Miño and very close to Ribadavia, in the heart of the D.O. Ribeiro. It is a family project with three generations of growers behind it, making its wines by hand and personally handling the whole process, from pruning and vineyard care to bottling. It works numerous plots spread across places such as Reboreda, Veiga do Carballo, Meizo and Batoca. Its wines fall under two brands: Talendo, with Talendo Classic, Selección, Vintage and a red, and Zapicos, with Zapicos Fruto del Minifundio, Zapicos do Verea and Zapicos Godello.
