The company Bodegas Obregón SL was founded in 1935 by D. José Luis González Obregón (El Puerto de Santa María, 1905-1995). It has been registered with the Wine Regulatory Council ever since, so its wines enjoy the Jerez-Xérès-Sherry Designation of Origin. D. José Luis González Obregón was one of the great experts in wines and brandies of the Marco de Jerez that the area's winemaking has fortunately counted on. He began his winemaking career very young, holding different positions and rising to become General Foreman of the company Hijos de Jiménez Varela S.A.
