Bodegas Manuel Aragon

◍ Cádiz

About the winery

A winery founded by Pedro Aragón Morales, born in 1815. Continuing the family tradition, he opened a small lagar and winery on the Callejón de Jerez, selling his production in the small taverns of Chiclana and directly to the public at the winery itself, to the day labourers who passed along the Callejón de Jerez on their way to the nearby vineyards. His son, Juan Aragón Ramos, inherited the lagar and part of the solera and expanded it without changing the structure of the business, which continued with its local sales.
