About the winery
Around 1940, José Estévez Álvarez began making his own wines from the best grapes of his vineyards, bottling some for his own consumption and selling the rest to local brokers. Little by little his son Pepe began to suggest to his father the need to advance in winemaking methods, as well as in the bottling and labelling of his wine, so that it could then be properly marketed and show the great quality of Ribeiro.
