About the winery
Bodegas Enrique Mendoza is in l'Alfàs del Pi, in the Marina Baixa, and is one of the benchmark wineries of the D.O. Alicante. Its motto puts terroir at the centre, and it proves it with site wines such as Finca Xaconero and Santa Rosa and single-plot wines such as Estrecho and Quebradas. Monastrell is the star grape, also used for its rosé, while for whites it works with Sauvignon Blanc and Merseguera, combined in La Tremenda white, with La Tremenda red made from Monastrell. A Moscatel de la Marina completes the range. It offers two visits: one that covers the experimental pruning field, the bottling line and the underground cellar with a guided tasting, and a barrel tasting led by Julián Mendoza.
