About the winery
Bathed by the River Deva amid the lush vegetation of the area, the tower of the Carballal de Sande winery rises on top of the hill, a peaceful slope in the dense valleys of the Condado do Tea, 2 km from the Miño. All of the Finca Carballal vineyard lies on slopes and consists of three socalcos (terraces), on a gradient and facing south. The good ventilation of the estate allows a late harvest, at the end of September or early October, waiting for the best moment of ripeness and balance in the grapes without botrytis or other diseases appearing.
