About the winery
Casa Lo Alto is an estate in Venta del Moro, in the Requena-Utiel district, named after the hill it sits on. It houses a winery founded in 1976 and has belonged to Bodegas Murviedro, part of the Schenk Group, since 2017. Alongside the vineyard, the estate has almond groves and woodland, and it is farmed without synthetic chemicals, using organic fertilisers and biodynamic preparations, to make wine with minimal intervention. The LoAlto range includes single-variety Garnacha, Bobal and Tardana, plus plot wines such as LoAlto A, from Garnacha Blanca, and LoAlto G, from Garnacha Tinta. At weekends it runs visits that start at the top of the estate, walk through the vineyard and winery and end with a tasting of its site wines, and it also offers accommodation among the vines.
