Coster d´En Sala

About the winery

Coster d'en Sala is a vineyard between Xàbia and El Poble Nou de Benitatxell, in the Marina Alta area of Alicante, within the D.O. Alicante zone. Its name pays tribute to the family's ancestors, especially En Joan Sala, the first to arrive in the district. The project restores old terraces and dry-stone walls to bring them back into vine growing, and alongside the vineyard it looks after olive, carob and almond trees and is restoring the Mediterranean woodland. The vines grow in clay and iron-rich soils, less than two kilometres from the sea with the Montgó in the background. They make artisan wines such as Brisal de Xabea E Blanco and Terra Xabea E in white and red. The visit is a guided walk through the vineyard ending with a tasting accompanied by local products.
