About the winery
Finca La Pintora is a family winery in Rota, in the Jardal vineyard area, very close to the sea and on black albariza soils. The project was launched by José Ferris Ruiz to keep alive the family's traditional winemaking; his great-great-grandfather, Juan Laynez Pacheco, ran a small winery whose wine was bought by the big Jerez houses to improve their own. Its hallmark is Tintilla de Rota, from which they make a sweet red, as well as a vermouth and even a jelly from this grape. The range is completed by an estate Chardonnay and the Señorío de Ferris label. They run wine tourism experiences among the estate's vineyards.
