About the winery
Just B is the wine line of Adega Villaverde, a winery in Ribadumia, in the heart of the Val do Salnés and within the D.O. Rías Baixas. Belén Varela set it up in 2016, after years running an Albariño winery, to revive the tradition of her family, who have grown vines in the area for decades; winemaker Cayetano Otero works alongside her on the project. Its vineyards, spread over small low-lying pergola-trained plots, give fresh, Atlantic Albariños, with the aim of renewing tradition without losing the authenticity of the Salnés. The core range is Just B, Croque and Encarna, while the signature selection Viñas de Miguel Varela vinifies different plots separately to show what each one gives.
