About the winery
La Bodega de las Estrellas is a family winery in Valdepeñas, Ciudad Real, with five generations of growers since the mid-19th century. It is run by Dionisio de Nova, an agricultural engineer and pioneer of organic farming, and Karina, who converted all production to organic in the 1990s. They describe themselves as independent growers, outside the designations of origin. They work only with their own grapes from the El Conuco and El Corcobillo estates, which grow Airén, Cencibel including bush vines over 80 years old, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Garnacha and Verdejo, following the lunar calendar, using the vineyard's own yeasts, in clay tinajas and with no added sulphites. Their ranges are Dionisos and Ego Vinum. They offer a daily visit with tasting, tasting courses and options for groups.
