About the winery
At La Zafra we look after land that has been farmed by five generations of our family in Monóvar (Alicante), under the watchful eye of «La Peña de La Zafra». We started with 1 hectare of Monastrell, the native variety of the area, grown sustainably, dry-farmed and bush-pruned (the traditional way), and for two years we have been recovering another two hectares belonging to the family that were about to be lost. We currently manage 4 hectares.
