About the winery
Lagar de Costa is a family winery in the parish of Castrelo, in Cambados, in the Val do Salnés and within the D.O. Rías Baixas, with its vineyards a stone's throw from the sea and facing the island of A Toxa. The Costa family has been making wine for more than a century, and today the third generation farms around six hectares of Albariño on pergolas, on loose soils and with vines over fifty years old. They make Lagar de Costa, Lagar de Costa Tradición, Maio, Calabobos, Viva la Vid-a and the sparkling Atlantic Rosé Brut Nature. Next to the winery they have a farmhouse with rooms among the vines, and they offer tastings and guided visits of the winery and vineyards.
