About the winery
Novos Bodegas y Viñedos is a family winery in La Portera, in Requena, within the D.O. Utiel-Requena, whose story began over a century ago when Nicolás Ramos planted the first vines. They farm without irrigation and without harsh pesticides, and at each harvest they keep only a small share of the best grapes, which yields just over 12,000 bottles. They work with Bobal, the emblem of the area, alongside Tempranillo and two uncommon varieties, Royal and Moravia Agria, in wines such as Labor de Sol, Tinto de Luna, Jaraiz, Royal de Novos and Royal de Novos Rosé. They offer guided visits with a tasting of three wines paired with Iberian cured meats and cheeses, sunset tastings and events for groups and companies.
