About the winery
The Quiles family's ties with wine date back to 1780, when they began growing grapes and making wine in the lands west of what is now the province of Alicante. It was at the dawn of the 20th century that Don Primitivo Quiles Verdú, a qualified oenologist, founded the current winery in Pinoso (Alicante), moving to its current location in Monóvar (Alicante) in 1926 to make it easier to transport the wine by rail to the port of the provincial capital for export.
