About the winery

Utiel-Requena is one of the most important wine regions in Spain. Wine has been grown and produced in this area for more than 2,000 years. The area lies on a plain 700 metres above sea level, yet only 80 kilometres from the Mediterranean Sea, giving it the perfect climate for wine, with cold, snowy winters and dry, hot summers. The winery was founded in 1914 by one of the most influential families in the region. In the 1960s the wine was mainly produced in bulk for the French market. SINCE THE 1980s….
