Terras do Cigarrón
About the winery
Terras do Cigarrón came into being thanks to some twenty winegrowers, its founding members. It all began in 2002 with the creation of the cooperative. Three years later, in 2005, the winery facilities, located in Albarellos de Monterrei, were officially inaugurated. Its vineyards lie between 400 and 500 metres above sea level, mostly in the valley or on hillsides, with sandy loam soils. The Godello grape is the star of this winery, used to make 100% varietal wines such as Terras do Cigarrón or Mara Martín.
