About the winery
Algueira is a family business that began in 1980 with Fernando and his wife Ana. They started with a few vineyards, a small winery and a lot of work ahead. In 1998 they created the Algueira brand and built a new winery able to meet the new challenges they intended to take on. Over the years, Fernando and Ana's company has grown into an award-winning international winery that helped put Ribeira Sacra on the map, both in the wine industry and in wine tourism in Galicia.
