About the winery

Adega Tear is a traditional family winery in Sober, in the Lugo part of the Ribeira Sacra, founded in the late 1970s and later renovated while keeping its stone-and-timber structure. It works only with its own grapes, from plots on the slopes of the Sil between Amandi and Chanteiro: Mencía, Garnacha, Tempranillo and Merenzao for the reds, and Godello, Treixadura and Loureira for the whites. Its flagship is Tear, an aromatic, well-structured young red, joined by Tear Selección and Capador, the latter aged six months in French oak. In recent years it has added the Godello Don Nilo and the rosé Emma, both in small runs.
