About the winery

Adegas Salvadur is a small family winery in Trasmonte, Vilachá de Salvadur, in the Lugo municipality of Pobra do Brollón, within the D.O. Ribeira Sacra. It works the slopes of the River Sil, where grapes are hand-picked into 20-kilo crates at around 320 metres, with a craft approach repeated every year with the same care. Its label is Acivro, with two reds: Acivro Mencía, a Ribeira Sacra Summum made from Mencía with a small share of Garnacha, and Acivro Barrica, which spends nine months in oak and picks up toasty notes. It is a good excuse to explore the Ribeira Sacra, with its vineyards wedged above the river and its many Romanesque monasteries and churches.
