About the winery
Like a stage recreated for the adventures of the illustrious gentleman of La Mancha, Casa de la Viña shows all its charm in its large Manchegan courtyards, untouched by the passage of time. A pioneer in making Valdepeñas wines, it was a distinguished manor house from its foundation in 1857 by the Count of Casavaliente. Located 150 km south of Madrid, in the very heart of Castilla-La Mancha, at an altitude of 700 m, with vineyards on flat land, with soils poor in organic matter and predominantly limestone. Their texture varies from sandy on the slopes to clay loam in the valleys.
