Alianza de Garapiteros
About the winery
The Alianza de Garapiteros winery in Calatayud was founded in 2010 under the leadership of Carlos Sáenz and Óscar Martínez, two enthusiasts with extensive experience in the sector. The project is based on recovering forgotten Garnacha Tinta vineyards that are difficult to farm, in order to make modern wines and seek a symbiosis between tradition, charm and authenticity. The name comes from the meaning of Garapitero (in the past, the person who won the municipal auction to collect the taxes on the sale of wine).
