About the winery
Celler Balmaprat, a small family winery in Porrera, was founded in 2008. It makes the production of a single estate, La Balma, owned by the Del Aguila-Pellicer family, with century-old hillside vines and later plantings. The predominant varieties are Cariñena and Garnacha, complemented by Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. The ground floor of a house in the middle of the village has been converted to house the winery. The small production allows the utmost care throughout the process: growing the vines, selecting the grapes, fermentation, ageing...
