Berez Galanta
About the winery
Berez Galanta is the txakoli winery of the Urrutikoetxea Garcia family, from Galdakao, with its cellar in Usansolo (Bizkaia), within the DO Bizkaiko Txakolina. The family created the project to share the essence of their land, blending tradition and innovation and doing everything in-house, from vineyard to bottle. Their main txakoli, Galanta, is aged on fine lees and rests for a year in bottle; it shows white fruit, pear and apple, a herbaceous and citrus touch and a light spritz. Their shop also lists Arteta and G2. They run guided tours that walk through the vineyards with a glass in hand, explain the winemaking in the cellar and end with a tasting paired with local produce; they also host corporate and family events.
