Biurko Gorri

About the winery

The current Biurko winery was built in 1992. Biurko is a Basque word meaning “area of two waters”. It is the name of an area of the village formed by two slopes and a valley. The winery is located in Bargota, a small village at the foot of the Sierra de Yoar (Sierra de Cantabria) at 600 metres of altitude. It was built on high ground overlooking the area with excellent views, surrounded by the family's vineyards and olive trees.
