The “llogaret” (hamlet) of Biniagual enjoyed its moment of greatest prosperity at the beginning of the 17th century. Its inhabitants devoted themselves to livestock, raising sheep and pigs, as well as to viticulture and olive growing. At the beginning of the 19th century the olive groves gave way to vineyards, and Biniagual practically became a vine monoculture. Thanks to its privileged location at the crossroads of the Camí de Muro and the road from Binissalem to Sencelles, Biniagual was an important place in Mallorca's road system.
