About the winery
Since the end of the 18th century there have been records of winegrowing activity at the Feliu family's ancestral home in Porreres. In 1790 wine began to be produced in the cellar located in the vaulted basement of the building on Carrer d'en Feliu in the town. The cellar, like so many others that have been disappearing over the last century, is built under marès sandstone vaults resting on slender columns of the same material, with walls of compacted earth, a vestige of laborious manual digging.
